Style. It’s you. It’s me. It’s what we love and find comfort in. It’s what helps us show the world our inner self. As a young teen in the late 80s and early 90s, my style was unique and different. I recall fads of chunky sweaters, acid-washed jeans, flipped up collars, big hair, and big shoulder pads. Then it transitioned to gold bamboo hoops, flannel plaid, Tims or Doc Martens and baggy jeans.

My style is a part of me. While trends flow in and out and then make their way back, we strive to find our own unique style.

As summer officially comes to a close, I decided to go through my wardrobe and pull out everything that no longer flatters or sparks “joy” for me. Part of having a growth mindset from within also impacts what I choose to wear and dress like.
